Welcome—I'm Dr. Yolanda Vazquez, an educator and systems-builder rooted in both general and special education. This site highlights my work leading SPED, MTSS, SEL, and student support systems that center equity, relationships, and results. My evolution as an educator and systems-builder is rooted in the belief that support should be experienced, not just written into a plan. I began in special education and shifted from helping one student at a time to redesigning systems so all students, families, and staff have access to meaningful, responsive support.
As a first-generation college graduate and the first in my family to earn an Ed.D, I lead with a deep commitment to access, equity, and opportunity. I’m a relational leader and systems thinker who designs MTSS, SEL, and student support structures—like SEL Tier 3 counseling, virtual SEL classes, Gifted Accelerated Program club enrichment, and NHS/NJHS—that help educators do their best work and help students thrive.
